ALCOHOL - Does the Linen Building have a full bar? Although the Linen Building does not have a liquor license, we have a Preferred Bar that caters to all of your beverage needs. Contact us at 208.385.0111 or email The Linen Building for pricing. We do not allow for users to bring in their own alcohol.

ACCESS - When are we able to get into the building to decorate and customize our event? When booking a Friday or Saturday, users are typically allowed access BY 10 AM, unless other scheduling conflicts arise. During the week, access can be granted during the times of your booked event, unless special arrangements have been made.

AUDIO/VIDEO - Is there an in house P/A system, projector and screen that the building has for use? The Linen Building can bring in an array of audio and video to meet your special event needs. We offer an acoustically treated main floor room with accent lighting. Contact the Linen Building for questions regarding a/v equipment and lighting.

BATHROOMS - Where are the bathrooms and what is their capacity? We have 2 bathrooms on the first floor, each with 3 toilets and 2 sinks. There are 2 bathrooms upstairs off the second floor, each with one toilet and one sink. All bathrooms are handicap accessible and have ample room.

CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS AND DISCOUNTS - Does the Linen Building offer discounts for charitable organizations or other groups? Yes, the building offers a discount to nonprofits, charitable organizations, schools, fundraising events, auctions and military. We also have special rates for corporate events. Please contact us for more specific questions about donations.

DANCE FLOOR - Does the building have a dance floor? The concrete or hardwood floor is utilized as the dance floor. We do not have an additional surface that can be added to the existing floor to create a dance floor.

DECOR - Does the building have natural light, windows, curtains and drapes? Yes. There's ample natural light from our numerous first and second floor windows. Each window has an interior custom drape with black out curtains should one need to limit the amount of natural light in the building. Upstairs in the Gallery, the Roman Shades compliment the space well. What is the wall surface? The walls are either the natural brick or sheetrock and painted finish. What about the floors? The first floor is smooth concrete. The mezzanine and 2nd floor Gallery have a maple hardwood finish.

DECORATING - Does the building allow for custom decorations? Yes, we like to see users get creative with the space. However, we do not allow holes of any kind to be put in the walls. We have a candle policy where candles are ok to use, but need to be in a votive or glass surrounding container. We do not allow real rose petals as they stain the floor.

FLOOR PLANS - Can we get a floor plan of the space so we can lay out event out? Yes, we will send you a floor plan to scale upon request.

FOOD - Does the Linen Building have an in house caterer? Yes. Open Table Boise is the Linen Building's preferred caterer. One can use an outside caterer, but that caterer has to follow all the same policies and responsibilities as our preferred caterer as well as paying the $500 non preferred catering fee. We require that all caterers are licensed and are able to supply $1,000,000 of liability insurance for each specific event. To request a list of requirements, please email The Linen Building. We do not allow users to bring in their own food for events.

HEATING AND COOLING - Is the building air conditioned? Yes, the building has 6 RTU's (roof top units) used to heat and cool the entire building. Can we turn up or down the heat and/or a/c? The Linen Building has staff at each event that monitors the temperature to suit everyone's needs.

INSURANCE - Is there an insurance requirement? Yes, the Linen Building requires that all events are individually insured. If a user cannot supply the required insurance that adds the Linen Building Event Center as an additional insured, the building offers the required insurance for $100.

KITCHEN - Does the building have a kitchen for users to use during events? Yes. The building has a kitchenette with refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and oven. Users are allowed to use the kitchen for staging only. The kitchen is not to be used to cook or prepare food.

LIGHTING - Is there special lighting in the space available to use for a special event? Currently, there is a limited amount of task and accent lighting, mainly for where the food and beverages are set up. Contact the Linen Building for questions regarding specialty lighting for your event.

MEZZANINE - What's on the mezzanine? The mezzanine, overlooking the first floor, sleek leather couches, low level swivel chairs and several coffee and end tables. It is normally utilized as a lounge area, but one can get creative with how to use the space. The Mezzanine is included with the first floor rental. Can we move the furniture to another location in the building? Moving the furniture from the Mezzanine is highly discouraged.

MUSIC - Does the Linen Building have a stage? Yes. There is a portable house stage that can be utilized for events. There's a labor charge to set up and break down the stage should a user wish to utilize it for their event.

PARKING - Is there parking on site? Is it free or metered? Parking is free both off and on street. There is a 35 space private parking lot directly adjacent (west of the building. There is also a 12 space parking lot directly across the alley (North of) for all Linen Building users to access. Street parking is free and first come, first serve. After 5 PM and weekend events have no parking issues. During the business day during the week, if there's a need for more than 45 parking spots, first come, first serve.
