THE VERY MOST to hold record release party Live at the Linen Jan. 22

A Year With The Very Most CD compiles four download-only EPs the Boise indie-pop band released in 2009 in conjunction with the seasons

FINN RIGGINS, SPONDEE and FLOOMDORM will open the show

Boise indie-pop band The Very Most will hold a record release party at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at the Linen Building, 1402 W. Grove St. in Downtown Boise's Linen District. $5 in advance or day of show. Advance tickets are available at the Linen Building weekdays between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All ages, beer and wine (ID required).

The Very Most (theverymost.com) will celebrate the release of A Year With The Very Most, a compilation of four download-only EPs the band recorded during 2009 - one for each season of the year. The album is being released by Indiecater Records of Dublin, Ireland (indiecater.com).

The themes of the songs revolve around weather and holidays and the way they affect us. Since the seasons vary by region, this album is The Very Most's most Boise-centric to date, with references to the City of Trees, Mountain Home and other area locations. There was an effort made to make the record musically match the seasons.

The record release party will include the debut of a new Very Most video and an opportunity to purchase A Year With The Very Most before it's available in stores. The CD will be available for a special release-party price of $5, which includes a free poster.

Opening for The Very Most are Finn Riggins (finnriggins.com), Spondee (myspace.com/spondee123) and Floomdorm (myspace.com/floomdorm).
