Accordingly, the team's mission is to promote cycling, especially competitive cycling, in Idaho by striving to compete at the highest level possible. The task is multi-faceted: compete in the best races the team can win, and compete in the best races it can get into. The task of winning races reinforces the need of complete selflessness and teamwork, while the opportunity to compete against the world's best pushes the individual athlete to continue reaching higher and higher. Team Exergy is sponsored by Exergy Development Group, a company dedicated to sustainable economic development in the United States. The main focus of Exergy is the responsible implementation of strategies minimizing impact on resources. Exergy implements this strategy by successfully merging free market principles with environmental, societal and community values. ProHelmet.org is a non-profit organization that works to promote 100 percent helmet use for children and adults for all sports and activities that pose an increased risk of head trauma.
